Google API Services User Data Policy Compliance
Nodestr's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the
Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- Nodestr does not request broad access to personal Google Drive files.
- Nodestr does not use Google user data to train, retrain, or fine-tune artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models.
- Nodestr does not sell, rent, or transfer user data to third parties or data brokers.
1. Information We Collect
Nodestr collects information necessary to provide and secure our workspace services:
- Account Credentials: Email addresses and cryptographically salted, hashed passwords (bcrypt). Plaintext passwords are never stored.
- Google Authentication Data: When signing in with Google (“Continue with Google”), we receive your verified email address, name, profile avatar URL, and Google user ID.
- Workspace & Node Graph Data: Prompts, table records, sticky notes, visual frames, and connections stored locally in IndexedDB and synced to cloud accounts.
2. Google Drive API & Cloud Egress Usage
Nodestr requests solely the narrow, non-sensitive https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file scope when you explicitly choose to export documents or spreadsheets to Google Drive:
- What we do: When you click “Export to Google Docs” or “Export to Google Sheets”, Nodestr uploads the requested document or spreadsheet directly to your Google Drive, where Google converts it into an editable Google Doc or Sheet.
- What we NEVER do: Nodestr cannot and does not read, search, list, access, modify, or delete any of your existing personal Google Drive files or folders. Access is strictly limited to files created by Nodestr.
3. No AI Model Training Invariant
Nodestr does not use your prompt templates, table records, compiled documents, or any data obtained from Google APIs to train, retrain, fine-tune, or improve generalized artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models. Your content remains your private intellectual property.
4. Data Retention & Account Deletion
Users can permanently delete their account at any time within the application (Dashboard → Account Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account), which immediately purges all user data and cloud workspaces. Google permissions can be revoked at any time via Google Account Security Settings.
